What Teachworks costs
Teachworks has three plans. Each has a monthly base fee plus a fee for every student lesson, billed monthly on what you used:
- Starter: $16.49 a month plus $0.320 per student lesson.
- Growth: $47.99 a month plus $0.189 per student lesson. Adds API access.
- Premium: $187.99 a month plus $0.065 per student lesson. Includes 5 branches, then $35 a month per extra branch.
All plans allow unlimited students and teachers and come with a 21-day free trial. Bulk email has a fair-use limit of one email per student lesson per month, then $1 per 1,000 emails.
What a solo tutor pays
The per-lesson fee is the part that matters for one tutor. On Starter:

A tutor teaching 80 student lessons a month pays about $505 a year on Teachworks Starter. The bill grows with your teaching, which makes sense for a company with margins and less sense for one person.
Where Teachworks is stronger
- Built for companies. Unlimited teachers, branches on the Premium plan, and a structure for admins and staff. Tutitor has one tutor per account.
- API. Growth and Premium plans include API access. Tutitor has no API.
- Bulk email. Teachworks can send email in bulk within its fair-use limit. Tutitor does not send email or SMS on your behalf.
Where Tutitor is stronger
- No monthly fee and no per-lesson fee. Teaching more never costs more.
- Attendance drives the invoice. Mark a lesson Completed, Excused or Unexcused and the invoice builds itself. Excused lessons bill nothing. Unexcused lessons bill at your no-show percentage.
- Paid by bank transfer or QR. Each invoice shows a VietQR code, a bank QR image, bank details, a payment link or written instructions. No card processing and no processing fee.

Common questions
What does 'per student lesson' mean on Teachworks?
Each student attending a lesson counts once. A group lesson with four students is four student lessons. On the Starter plan that is 4 × $0.320 = $1.28 for that one lesson.
Does Tutitor charge anything per lesson or per invoice?
No. There is no monthly fee, no per-lesson fee and no fee on payments. Tutitor does not process payments at all; parents pay you directly using the details on the invoice.
Can Tutitor handle several tutors?
Tutitor is built for one tutor per account. If you run a company with staff, Teachworks or TutorBird will fit better.
Does Tutitor have an API?
